A very cozy place, there is a wide variety of food in the buffet, regarding the cuts of meat only handle 3, the place has to offer more cuts of meat, I am very basic cuts. but it is worth trying, it only has thick salt, which makes its flavor very good and special. I recommend it!
Extremely delicious food packed with flavor. Just be warned that having certain items like salmon or shrimp on your plate will make the price $12.99 per pound instead of $10.99. The plate below cost me $30 so definitely be careful before you go too wild! But I happily finished everything it was so worth it. Standouts were the rice, beans, corn with cheese, plantains, chicken curry
my parents came to visit me in astoria and we went to this place 2 or 3 times because they were so obsessed with how delicious all the food is. don't even need to go get the special meat honestly - everything is so good. including the dessert!
Great place to grab some food, super clean all the time, staff is super friendly as well.
Excellent food! Homemade, fresh ingredients with a large daily selection — the best kept secret in the neighborhood. Highly recommended!
The food is great! I recently ordered a cake for my birthday and it was so good, the best I’ve ever had, all my guests loved it!!!!!
The purpose of this review is not to hate or harm this restaurant in any way, shape, or form. That being said, I hope you take this review as an informative review. Atmosphere: Medium-ish size restaurant, kind of cozy, and clean for the most part. Once you go in, you can go straight ahead to the buffet section and pick your food, whether you're dining in or getting take-out. Keep in mind that anything you pick from the buffet you pay by the pound. Service: Okay, service does not only mean the way you were treated but your experience the whole time you were at the place. One of the ladies at the register saw that I was kind of doubtful about what to pick. She kindly described to me one of the choices I wanted to pick, but I did not know what it was. It is not that I did not like that, but I think this could have been avoided if they had just placed the name and description on all the options. Food: Most of the choices I picked are common, except for the cod fish cakes(a Brazilian recipe). The chicken was okay. The vegetables and guacamole were fresh. Lastly, the cod fish cakes were pretty good. So, I guess the flavors of the food vary from okay to really good. Price: Since you pay by the pound, I think their prices are decent IF you pick wisely.
